Marissa was already surprised by Spencer taking her horseback riding. She had no idea that a bigger surprise was waiting for her when they got there! Once Spencer popped the question, Marissa was speechless.  Of course she said yes!

I love hearing how my clients get engaged. Each one creates something special for their significant other while still completely surprising them. We shot the session at the San Jose Japanese Friendship Garden. While getting my Masters I used to live down the street from there but forgot how big and beautiful it is! It’s January, so not the peak time for a garden but there was still so many beautiful places around.

Marissa and Spencer were so cute during the entire shoot. I don’t think the laughing stopped the entire session. Exactly what I love to capture! They are seriously two of the nicest people and so much fun to shoot!  Congratulations again on your engagement you two!

Some of my favorite parts of an engagement session is what happens in-between the spots. It’s when they think you aren’t shooting them when their love really shows.Of course these two decided to be super cute while we were walking to the next spot and I’m so glad I caught it!
