I love being able to teach other photographers skills I have learned along the way. Here is an editorial I did with one of my mentee’s to teach them film. With florals by Tumbleweed Floral Design. and dress by La Soie Bridal. I started the day with Ashley and answered all questions she had about photography from film to marketing, Then after a couple of hours we headed to our photo location. This shoot was focused around my mentee’s brand of romantic with hues of pink.
When doing a mentoring shoot, it is a time not only to learn film in real time with me by your side helping, but you also get to see me work. From how I interact with my couples, see how I use lighting (super important in film) and just there to help guide you along the way. It was so fun being able to teach all things film and help Ashley become more confident when she does shoot it. Check out some of my favorites from this day from awhile back!
