Their story started about a decade ago in middle school when Jeremy and Theresa love kindled. With a little stint in 6th grade the two reconnected in 8th grade and from there they became the cutest high school sweethearts. From young these two knew they were going to last and even after going to separate colleges, nothing tore them apart.
When Jeremy knew he was going to propose, he wanted to make sure that it was something special. With the forecast showing rain the entire week, Jeremy was holding out for the perfect weather for their boat ride around the bay. The stars aligned and it was the only day of the week with clear skies! He had all of their family attend and when Theresa turned their family was behind Jeremy with signs that read “Theresa, will you make me the happiest man in the world and marry me?” While Jeremy got on his knee in rose petals in a shape of a heart on the dock. I mean how adorable is that!
They actually have the cutest article of their love story in the East Bay Times by Nora Tarte, check it out here My favorite quote in the article has to be “I have known that I want(ed) to marry this woman since we were young. I cannot explain it, but the feeling has always been right,” Mata said. They are seriously the cutest and see some of my favorites from their Marin Headlands engagement below!
