The two met at a mutual friend’s get together the evening the Giants won the pennant in 2010. While the City was in celebration, George had his eye on Yolanda while Yolanda took quite a fancy to George. They spent the evening enjoying each other’s conversation while strolling around town. When it came time to say goodbye, Yolanda hoped George would ask for her number, but not wanting to ask for his since they were surrounded by friends, said generally to everyone, “It’s too bad we won’t see each other again.” George, also conscious of friends standing next to him, responded, “San Francisco is only 7 miles wide. We’ll run into each other again.” Yolanda knew there was scant chance of that ever happening. It was also the first time Yolanda felt an immense sadness saying goodbye to a perfect stranger that on her drive home she said a prayer that if George was meant to be in her life, it would happen. Two days later, it happened.
5 Years Later on a beautiful day in Tilden Park in Berkeley, George gave Yolanda the most cherished gift and asked her to marry him.
They decided to do their engagement shoot in San Francisco since that is the city they first met . Our first stop was the The Mill. George and Yolanda are avid tea drinkers and she love pastries. The café was a perfect location to show what they love. These two are seriously the sweetest and the cutest couple!

Yolanda’s pearl earrings were a gift from George on their 4 year anniversary, the watch was from George when she graduated law school.
After tea at The Mill, we then headed to Twin Peaks. The first and last time the two had visited was in 2011 when they saw the first flurries of snow fall in San Francisco after 35 years!
It was extremely windy at Twin Peaks but Yolanda and George cuddled up to keep each other warm.
The blue sapphire cluster earrings that Yolanda is wearing are actually her mothers. I love how she incorporated them into the shoot.
sometimes the wind works to your advantage.
Yolanda you are so gorgeous!
The fog decided to take over so the winds and cold breeze were abundant during their shoot. Most people don’t like cold, damp weather, but for George and Yolanda it brings back cherished memories of their first dates.
Yolanda make her own bouquet for the engagement shoot from some backyard flowers and others from the market. She’s so talented!
Thank you so much again Yolanda and George for being so easy going and lovely to work with! You are both so kind and perfect for each other! I can’t wait until your wedding next year!
