Ashley and Crenshaw have a love for the outdoors so Lake Tahoe seemed like the perfect spot for their wedding. Once Covid hit the two of them made the had choice to reschedule to the following year. When everything seemed to be going smoothly, the Caldor Fire broke out a few weeks before their date. This threaten not only the wedding day but all of South Lake Tahoe. The smoke covered all the views and many people were evacuated. Their venue was luckily not in the line of the fire or needing to be evacuated but the lake was nowhere to be seen a week before their day because of the smoke. The two of them made the decision that despite the smoke they were still going to move forward with their date. Two days before the big day the smoke cleared as well as the Fire being contained and it ended up being perfect weather for them (even a light sprinkle for good luck) and the prettiest sunset.
Ashley wore Crenshaw’s late mom’s veil which his sister also wore on her wedding day. Right before their first look the wind picked up and blew her veil infront of her. A nice little node they would like to thank to his mom.
When Covid, fire, and rain tried to damper their day these two took it with grace and had the time of their lives. Check out some of my favorites from their day below.
