Aleksa and Bernardo : Solage Calistoga Wedding

A family affair dripping in roses, literally. Shipped all the way from the groom’s family’s rose farm in Ecuador, Aleksa and Bernardo’s destination wedding in the heart of Napa Valley was nothing short of a beautiful day centered around family and stunning florals. From the vibrancy of the roses, to colorful wedding party attire, and a jaw-dropping reception installation of roses dripping from the ceiling, guests were treated to an intimate, destination evening at Solage, an Auberge Resort.

Traveling from all over the country, and world, Aleksa and Bernardo hosted friends and family in Napa for their destination wedding with stunning views of the mountains and rolling vineyards. A ceremony complete with an arch drenched in roses from the family’s Ecuadorian rose farm. Aleksa and Bernardo exchanged vows that interlaced their promises to each other for both a romantic and fun-filled life together for the rest of their days. Leading up to their ceremony, guests’ jaws dropped as Aleksa walked down the aisle in a stunning Made with Love gown drawing attention to her stunning tulle wings after their two best friends lead the way along with her closest cousin who acted as flower girl. The colored of their bridal party matched the chinoisere accents that were throughout the day.

After the ceremony, guests enjoyed a cold beverage before being welcomed into the reception space, an ode to roses and color. Vibrant roses hung from the ceiling individually with love and in floral hoops above the guests as they dined and danced. Their favorite people found their seat with custom chinoiserie place card tiles and an individual rosebud at every place setting greeted them. From soft blue napkins, to romantic portofino round wooden chairs, the evening was nothing short of romantic and curated. Even their delicious two tiered cake was covered in their family’s roses. The most memorable reception moment came when Aleska and Bernardo graced the dance floor with a steamy salsa dance routine in honor of her grandparents.

Their closest friends joined them dressed in colors to match the roses, including Aleksa’s maid of honor and flower girl. Both Aleksa and Bernardo’s Mothers wore evening gowns in their floral colors. Classic white heels from Alexandre Birman, not only stylish, but a node to Aleksa’s roots since he is from Brazil. Aleksa’s bridal look was complete with her something blue and something borrowed – her mother’s blue topaz earrings, purchased while shopping at her dad’s hometown of Belo Horizonte Brazil, to honor her aunt. Their bands were gold from Ecuador and blessed by the priest that married Bernardo’s parents. Aleksa and Bernardo’s Solage wedding day truly honored their families in unique and festive ways.
