Choosing a spot for your enagagment can always be a little overwhelming if you are not quite sure where to start. I always love helping my couples determine the feel and area they are thinking of and send recommendations from there! Here are some of my favorite spots I have shot over the years.

1. Yosemite National Park

I don’t think I have to say much about this spot but Yosemite has some of the most beautiful views in the United States. Either Yosemite Valley or Glacier Point have great areas from rivers, forests, and sweeping landscapes. This is great for nature lovers and we are so lucky to live so close!

2. Marin Headlands

On the other side of the Golden Gate bridge and San Francisco, there is Marin Headlands. The area is pretty vast and the views are the same. Rodeo Beach is a great spot to start the day and end above the cliff’s with breath taking views of the ocean. The spot is a bigger spot for fog which can give a magical feel to the place as well.

3. Mendocino

Not as popular as Carmel or Big Sir but Mendocino has so much to Offer. Armstrong Redwood reserve is a great area that doesn’t have as big of a tourist appeal as Muir Woods has, there leaving for more photo opportunities. Not too far from there are all the sweeping vista’s and Cliffside’s that go on for miles. 

4. Lands End / Sutro Baths

A ver popular spot in San Francisco for a reason, this area has so many different area’s to shoot at. From the trees to the ruin’s its hard not to like Sutro Baths.

5. Napa

Napa Valley is known for its beautiful hill and of course it’s wine. With a vast amount of winries to choose from, it’s the best area to sip while you shoot.
